Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary
Bentley's custom coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique key case to celebrate the brand's centenary. It is made of Dark Stained Burr Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it includes a flying 'B' paperweight, a set keys and a brochure featuring never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre images.

Aesthetics
Bentley is a brand that takes its aesthetics seriously. Design
Bentley is famous for its luxurious and ostentatious automobiles and even keys are designed to stand out. Function
The Bentley Mulsanne key has an opening button for the trunk and another which starts the car. It also has a switch that can turn on the parking break. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors while parking in a tight space. This feature helps you get into and out of your car.
Each key takes about two days to create. It is hand cut to shape, sewn sealed and polished to give an extremely high-end finish. It is lightweight and durable and will fit the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is akin to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key, but it feels much heavier and has a premium feel.
Secure-A-Key is also available to help prevent keyless entry theft. This device is inserted inside the remote-control key fob, and is turned off after a few minutes of inactivity, preventing thieves from transmitting the frequency of the key to other devices that are able to unlock and start the vehicle.

Personalisation
Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to create their own car. Guests sit at a series of images called "mood stations" and pick a set of photos ranging from picturesque landscapes to sporting events that inspire them to design their own. Each time a selection is made, a pattern will emerge which shows the model and color preferences of the personalized Bentley.

Bentley claims it takes about 500 man hours to design and put together the typical Mulsanne. The reluctance to embrace modern technology is the key to this laborious task. Drivers must park their vehicles manually, instead of using sensors built into the vehicle to guide them into perpendicular and parallel spots.
At the event, Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization options with an exclusive example of the Mulsanne W.O. The Mulsanne W.O.
